Following the photographs on page 14 in STEAM (ISSUE 42) of Ian Grantham's replica 1939 Minor 2 twin cylinder engine, I am pleased to inform members  that Ian has decided to manufacture a limited run of this superb model. He can supply the engine with either a single or double wick burner. Steve Malins aquired his example without a burner, but said there were clearly soot marks underneath the boiler in two places. His father also thought the burner would have been a double wick affair. However the details of a model which Ian has to hand shows an engine complete with a Minor 1 single wick burner. Whether or not this was intentional by the factory or a burner swap by a previous owner was was made is not known; hence the choice of burner.
